Alife Virtual Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 2, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Alife Virtual. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data in an open and transparent manner. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect from you, how we use it, and the rights you have in relation to your data when you use our virtual world, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways: data you provide to us directly and data we collect automatically.
A. Information You Provide Directly:
- Registration Information: When you create an account, we collect your chosen avatar first name, avatar last name, a valid email address, and a password. Your password is encrypted and cannot be read by anyone, including our staff.
- Profile Information: You may voluntarily add information to your in-world profile, such as a biography, interests, or a profile picture.
- Communications: If you contact our support team (e.g., via the Helpdesk), we will collect the information you provide in your communications.
B. Information We Collect Automatically:
- Log and Usage Data: We automatically collect your IP address, device type, operating system, and viewer version when you log in to our Services. We also log connection times and in-world locations (regions) you visit to ensure service stability and security.
- Cookies: Our website uses essential cookies to manage your login session and website preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies for advertising.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To Provide and Maintain the Services: To operate the virtual world, authenticate your account, and allow you to interact with the environment and other users.
- For Security and Fraud Prevention: To monitor for malicious activity, prevent unauthorized access, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the integrity of our platform. Your IP address is used for this purpose.
- To Communicate With You: To send you essential service-related announcements, security alerts, and support messages.
- To Improve Our Services: To analyze usage patterns and improve the features and performance of Alife Virtual.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We only share information in the following limited circumstances:
- With Service Providers: We may share data with our technology partners (e.g., cloud hosting providers like Amazon, Google, Microsoft) who provide the infrastructure needed to run our Services. They are bound by strict data protection obligations.
- For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or in response to a valid legal request from law enforcement.
- For Child Safety Enforcement: In the event of any suspected or confirmed violation of our child safety policies (see our Terms of Service, Section 5A), we will proactively share account information, avatar names, IP addresses, login records, and any relevant evidence with law enforcement authorities — including but not limited to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and applicable international agencies — without prior notice to the account holder. This sharing is not subject to limitation or opt-out.
5. Information You Share Publicly
You are in control of the information you make public within the virtual world. Please be aware that we cannot protect information you voluntarily share in public spaces. This includes:
- Information you type in public chat.
- Information you share via private messages (IMs) or group chats with other users.
- Personal details you choose to display in your public profile.
- Comments made using voice chat.
Sharing personal information in these ways is done at your own risk.
6. Data Security
We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data. This includes using HTTPS for our website, encrypting your password, and maintaining secure server environments. However, no online service can be 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
7. Your Data Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including:
- The right to access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- The right to rectification: You can request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
- The right to erasure: You can request that we delete your personal data, subject to certain legal obligations.
To exercise these rights, please contact us via our helpdesk.
8. Children's Privacy & Minors Policy
⚠ Adults-Only Platform — Minimum Age: 18
Alife Virtual is an adults-only platform. You must be at least 18 years of age to register or use our Services. This is a higher standard than the age-13 threshold used by many general platforms, reflecting the nature of our virtual world environment. By using our Services, you affirm that you are 18 or older.
- No Data Collection from Minors: We do not knowingly collect any personal information from persons under the age of 18. If we become aware that an account was registered by or is being used by a person under 18, we will immediately and permanently terminate that account and delete all associated personal data.
- Parental Notification: If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child (under 18) has created an account on Alife Virtual, please contact us immediately via our Helpdesk Page. We will take prompt action to investigate and remove the account.
- Data Retained for Safety Investigations: Notwithstanding our general data deletion commitments, in cases where a minor's account is identified in connection with a child safety concern, we reserve the right to retain relevant account data for as long as is necessary to cooperate with law enforcement investigations. This retention is in the interest of child safety and is not subject to erasure requests.
8A. Data Handling in Child Safety Enforcement
🚫 ZERO TOLERANCE — Child Safety Data Policy
The following data handling practices apply in all cases involving suspected violations of our child content prohibition policy. These practices override general privacy protections where child safety is at risk.
- Evidence Preservation: When a potential child safety violation is detected or reported, we will immediately preserve all relevant account data — including login history, IP addresses, session logs, uploaded content metadata, avatar names, and any in-world communications accessible to staff — for the duration of any investigation.
- Mandatory Reporting: We are committed to reporting suspected child sexual exploitation material (CSAM) and related violations to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the CyberTipline, as well as to relevant national authorities in the jurisdiction of the user where identifiable. This reporting is mandatory and automatic upon confirmation of a violation.
- Law Enforcement Cooperation: We will cooperate fully and promptly with all law enforcement agencies investigating child safety violations, providing all requested data without requiring a subpoena where permitted by law.
- No Anonymization of Violators: Account data associated with confirmed child safety violations will not be anonymized or deleted while an investigation or legal proceeding is ongoing. Normal data retention limits and erasure rights do not apply in these circumstances.
- Platform-Wide Bans: Confirmed violators will be permanently and irrevocably banned from all Alife Virtual services. Where technically possible, we will use all available identifiers (IP, email, device fingerprint) to prevent re-registration.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of the policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed.
10. Contact Us
If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or your data, please do not hesitate to contact us through our official Helpdesk Page.
