How to Compete in DJ Battle

Follow these steps to start your DJ career

Locate the DJ Battle Island

Look for the DJ Battle venue - you'll see:

  • DJ Battle Leaderboard displaying current competitors and rankings
  • Performance stage with professional DJ equipment
  • Audience seating area for fans
  • Registration board for new DJs

Register as a DJ

  1. Click on the DJ Battle Board
  2. Select "Register" from the menu
  3. Choose your DJ name (visible to audience)
  4. Select your preferred time slot (12-1 PM through 7-8 PM)
  5. Pay one-time registration fee: 1000 C$
  6. Confirmation message confirms your spot!
One-time registration! Pay once, compete forever. Your slot is saved.

Choose Your Time Slot

DJ Battle runs every Saturday. 8 time slots available:

Available Time Slots:
  • 12-1 PM - Early birds
  • 1-2 PM - Afternoon opener
  • 2-3 PM - Mid-afternoon
  • 3-4 PM - Late afternoon
  • 4-5 PM - Pre-prime
  • 5-6 PM - Prime time starter
  • 6-7 PM - Peak evening
  • 7-8 PM - Grand finale

Strategic Note: Prime time slots (5-8 PM) usually have larger audiences, but early slots can win dedicated fans!

Prepare Your Music Set

To perform as a DJ, you need to stream music in Alife Virtual.

Setup Requirements:

  • Have a music stream URL ready (Shoutcast, Icecast, etc.)
  • Test your stream before the event
  • Prepare your playlist (1 hour of music)
  • Choose your music genre/style
Pro Tip: Promote your set on social media beforehand to bring more fans and votes!

Perform Your DJ Set

During Your Performance:
  • Arrive at the DJ Battle venue 5-10 minutes before your time slot
  • Set up your music stream URL in the DJ booth
  • Start your stream at the beginning of your time slot
  • Interact with your audience via text chat
  • Play high-energy, crowd-pleasing tracks
  • Build momentum throughout your hour
  • Thank your audience at the end!
Performance Tips:
  • Engage with the audience - respond to chat messages
  • Mix different styles to appeal to diverse tastes
  • Build your set with energy progression
  • Announce upcoming tracks to build excitement
  • Create signature mixing techniques
  • Be professional and respectful
Remember: You have a full hour to impress the audience and earn votes!

Earn Audience Votes

After (or during) your performance, audience members can vote for you!

Voting System:
  • Voting is 100% FREE for all audience members
  • Each person can vote once per week per DJ
  • Votes are counted immediately and update the leaderboard live
  • Vote totals are cumulative (grow each week)
How Fans Vote: They click the DJ Battle Board, select your name from the voting menu, and confirm their vote!

Understanding the Leaderboard

The DJ Battle Board displays DJs sorted by votes (highest first).

Display Format:

RANK. DJ Name TimeSlot VOTE: ##

Example:
1. DJ Sorin 5-6 PM VOTE: 42 👑

What it means:
  • RANK = Leaderboard position (1 = top DJ with most votes)
  • DJ Name = Your stage name
  • TimeSlot = Your performance time
  • VOTE: ## = Total votes received (cumulative)
  • 👑 = Champion icon (position 1 only)
